Hi, I’m Julie. I am an Iowa native and am seeking a nanny position with a wonderful family! I am a kind, compassionate, and caring person born and raised in the Midwest. I have been married 34 years to my high school sweetheart, and I have four daughters ages 18, 21, 26, and 29. I am an animal lover and have adopted many dogs and cats over the years. I enjoy reading and continuously learning new things, being outdoors, spending time with family, and volunteering in my community, including serving as a girl scout troop leader for 10 years. I have worked in the Iowa public school system as an elementary and special education teacher for the past 33 years. I am known as a busy bee, working various secondary jobs, including Dollar General and Casey’s in my hometown. As I near retirement from education, I am excited to transition Read more from a classroom into a full-time nanny role where I can continue doing what I love most – supporting children and their families through warm, reliable, and developmentally informed care. I bring a strong foundation in child development and individualized support, with experience caring for children from newborn through middle school in both home and childcare settings. My background includes more than a decade of intensive childcare experiences, as well as professional expertise working with children with diverse learning styles, medical needs, and developmental differences. I strive to create environments that are nurturing, structured, and playful, while encouraging independence, confidence, and curiosity. In addition to childcare, I am comfortable assisting with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, errands, transportation, and family scheduling. I am active, dependable, and highly organized, and I value clear communication with parents to ensure consistency between home routines and childcare support. I hold current adult and pediatric CPR/BLS certification, and I am open to pursuing additional certifications that would benefit the children I care for. Families describe me as a loyal, calm, patient, compassionate, and an energetic team member. Regardless of the task, I approach caregiving as a partnership with families and aim to become a trusted steady presence in the home. I look forward to finding a family that I can work with long-term as well as providing attentive, thoughtful care to both children and the household as a whole.
