Hi! My name is Lindsay. I am a senior at the University of Northern Iowa, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. I have had many experiences working with kids. In the summer of 2014, I was a nanny for two brothers, a 5th grader and a 8th grader. The job was daily, 9am-5 p.m. I was responsible for meal preparation, facilitating activities, and driving them around to their various summer activities. I have also worked at Covenant Pines Bible Camp the summer of 2015 as a counselor and summer of 2017 as the craft hall director. Each week was a different age group, ranging from 1st to 12th grade. As a counselor, I was responsible for the safety and care of 6-12 campers each week. As the craft hall director, I was responsible for preparing and restocking crafts, instructing campers how to make crafts, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for Read more campers. I have also had various field experiences working in a school setting with kindergarteners through 5th graders. Currently, I am a childcare provider at a church for 4-5 year olds. As a part of one of my UNI courses, I am also a tutor for a 4th grade student looking to improve her literacy skills. Although I am currently in Iowa, I will be getting married this summer and moving to South Saint Paul with my husband. I am excited to find a nanny job for this summer! In the fall I will begin student teaching in Eagan, MN.
