Hello! I am Lydia Seelhammer. I am currently a part-time student at the University of Iowa studying Linguistics, Communication Sciences & Disorders (Speech Path./Aud.), and Spanish. I will be graduating in May 2023. As for my experience in childcare, I have worked as a full-time summer nanny for three summers in Des Moines, IA. I have absolutely adored the families I have worked with and I have loved spending time with their kiddos. The first two summers I worked with a 4 & 6 year old (second summer: 5 & 7 years old). The oldest of the two kids had severe egg and nut allergies. I was trained with an EpiPen along with other allergy needs. The final summer I nannied for two neighboring families (5 children total) with ages ranging from 6 years old to 12 years old. One of the kiddos (age 10) was diagnosed with ASD. I have spent days at the pool, hiking, running around at parks, arts & crafts, helping clean bedrooms, movie marathons on rainy days, tutoring, and much more. I also nannied for a family part-time with a 3-month-old and a 3-year-old, along with a second family with three kiddos with ages 2-7 years old. I have lots of experience with diaper changes and bottle feeding, along with introducing new foods and picky eaters! My most recent nannying position was for a family with a 5 month old. I was with them for about a year and a half before they moved. I have ample experience with kids of any age. I am an extremely outgoing person and would be great in any family setting. I can transport kids to practices, day camps, school, or other childcare if needed. I am available to assist with online school and any homework. I received my Babysitting and Child Care Certification in 2014 before working with various families back home. I was also a lifeguard for multiple summers back home, and with that I am CPR certified and First Aid certified. I am currently available for part-time hours or full-time hours.
