Christy began working for us as a FT Nanny in Jan ‘13, when our son was 3 months old. She has been a fantastic care-taker and teacher for our son and a joyful part of our extended family. We could not leave him in a better set of hands every day. We highly recommend her for any Nanny position. Christy has been an invaluable part of our son’s growth and development. She takes great pride in his progress and achievements and initiated work towards many of his early milestones. Whether it was tummy time as a newborn, sitting up as an infant, or working on the alphabet as a toddler, she has always been incredibly involved in helping him to reach his next milestone. She is 100% committed to his cognitive, physical and social development and has taken great care to make his days fun, interesting, social and educational. Our son’s happiness is by far and away Christy’s top priority. When he smiles, she lights up. She is kind, nurturing and loving. Her patience knows no end and I have never seen her frustrated with our son. When he was having tummy troubles she ran out to get prunes to make homemade prune baby food. When he came down with a fever she kept a cool cloth on him to try to get the fever down. Christy truly cares for him in a way that can only be explained as caring for him as if he were her own. Christy is highly reliable and has never said no to arriving early, staying late or working on a weekend. She has also spent overnights at our home to watch our son when we were out of town. She has driven our car upon occasion. Christy is extremely flexible and is happy to say yes to additional responsibilities – including dog walking, errands and household chores. We are moving across the country so sadly we have to say goodbye to Christy. However, our loss will certainly be another family’s gain as we were very lucky to find such a wonderful Nanny.
