I have always loved working with kids. They are so curious because everything is new for them and they soak up knowledge like sponges. I love helping them learn and watching how excited they get when they succeed at something new. I also love doing art projects and crafts. I have worked as the lead Discovery Preschool teacher at Kindercare for the last two and a half years. I also did a summer as the School age teacher before taking my position teaching two year olds. My classroom that I run with the assistance of a co-teacher has 16 two year olds enrolled in it every day. When I am by myself I watch up to 8 children so I have no problem watching and entertaining multiple kids. My responsibilities include teaching curriculum, feeding them breakfast, lunch, snack, and changing diapers. I have taken CPR training and I was also trained by a nurse to take care of a diabetic child that was enrolled in my class so I have full knowledge of how to test blood sugar and use a pump. If you are looking for someone educated that loves what they do and will help your kids learn and have fun then I am definitely the care taker for you! Also, I am still currently employed at Kindercare but I would be willing to leave for a full time position working for a family that was a good fit for both myself and the family.
