I know at first glance, most people wouldn't think that a male could be a great babysitter or Nanny especially if they're young. It's probably because of all the stereotypes, which is upsetting. I believe it's all in that person's upbringing that determines how they treat other individuals. My name is Erick, I'm 25, my wife & I are blessed w/ a beautiful 4 year old daughter. She means the world to me ever since she stole my heart the first time I laid eyes on her. My wife and I attend Willow Creek in S.B. We desire a big family as we both love kids but for now we are focused on other goals first. My brother and I grew up in a very humble home. Both my parents worked endless hours and my mom was the one who practically raised us. Being the oldest, I learned to cook, Read more clean, and take care of my little brother. I also learned at a very young age that respect is everything. Growing up in a Christian home taught my brother and I humility and compassion for others. Ever since I can remember I wanted more brothers & sisters but the financial circumstances were not fit for my parents to have more children. I'm one of the youngest among our cousins and I remember some of my older cousins even other Aunts would ask me to watch their kids for them and I realized at around age 13 I wanted to have kids of my own simply because I had a good time making them laugh. By that age I knew how to cook & clean and they would tell me I was good at it because for a long time my little cousins wouldn't stop asking their parents to have "uncle Erick" come over to play. Word got around and I was 17 watching the kids of other friends & family so the nickname "Uncle Erick" stayed with me. I believe I'm a great nanny because I like to be active and creative. Even though I'm 25yrs old I still have the heart of a child. I'm super goofy with kids but I can be strict when necessary. The imagination that I had as a child helped me be good with kids because that's the one thing kids love, imagination & creativity. After my daughter turned 1, I have been a stay at home Dad up until we decided that it would be better for her to interact with kids at preschool. We have a financial services business and my schedule is pretty flexible. I love helping families reach their financial goals & dreams but if I can put a smile on a child's face on my spare time, why not?
