Raised a wonderful boy who is heading to college in the fall. Yeah!! I have always loved babies and children of all ages, and they've loved me. I enjoy staying active and purposeful through giving children what they need most when their parents are away.... Love and attention, safety and supervision, fun and adventure, healthy home cooked meals and event celebrations! I've successfully raised my own intelligent, strong-willed child. I've cared for my neighbor's four children, throughout the years, as if they were my own, and I've assisted with the care of many others, too. Neighborhood children regularly join me on walks and bike rides. They also join my "Garden Club" each summer, where they learn to plant and care for flowers and herbs. If I had to describe myself in just a few words I'd say I'm a "Modern Day Mary Poppins". I'm active, artsy/creative, fun and adventurous.... yoga, Read more kickboxing, hiking, biking, travel... draw, paint, design, sew, cook, bake and cake decorate. Extremely organized and clean. Very safety oriented! Non-Smoker and insist on Non-Smoking Environment. Devout Christian. Attend church regularly. Volunteer at church and at animal shelters. Spotless "Legal Record". Dog Lover/Trainer/Caregiver. Dependable, trustworthy, energetic, nurturing and fun! Always arrive early, available for extended hours. College educated. Was a part-time caregiver for my special needs sister (wheelchair, cognitive issues, speech issues, and self-feeding issues). Prefer that children participate in outdoor activities, or projects of some sort, rather than gaming and watching Tv. We would go for walks, bike rides, hikes, and picnics. We could visit zoos, museums, and go to the pool. Who knows, we may build a fort and camp-out in the living room! Boredom would never be an issue. Looking forward to bringing joy and adventure into your child's world.
