Out of all the jobs I have done, the ones where I work with children have been one of my favorites. I enjoy seeing their eyes light up and their smile when they learn something new or accomplish something. Seeing the world through a child's eyes brings new perspective is a learning experience for me as well. My time as a child care provider comes in various forms in a variety of contexts. From occasional babysitting for friends and family to substitute teaching, drop in child care at the YMCA, and being a camp counselor, I have worked with children from ages 6 weeks to 17 years old. I taught a year of Outdoor Education and was always surprised by the amazing curiosity that the students had for the world around them. I was a nanny for the same family for over 7 years and helped care for their two Read more children until I had my son in 2021. I have since been in school working towards a MA in Social Work and am in the internship phase. I will graduate in May 2024. I am CPR/First Aid/AED Certified and have a valid drivers license and up to date with vaccinations.
