I’ve been a nanny for 3 families before, all families of 2 children; with a total experience of about 7 years. For each of the families, it was very easy for me to integrate into their everyday life and work with parent’s schedules, because very quickly I became a part of the family. I went above and beyond the array of responsibilities I was given, to help the family as much as possible. I stayed extra hours when needed, and accompanied the children at their birthday parties and after school activities such as hockey, Boy Scout, cheerleading and swimming, even when they were not during my regular hours. I tried to help the children understand basic learning skills, as well as household responsibilities. Every day was another adventure for the kids and me, therefore we were always going to parks, museums, and other places that could help the kids discover Read more their passions and expand their interests. At home we engaged in different art and science projects, as well as playing and making up our own games. My patience and love for the children helped them understand human interactions, and it helped me gain valuable skills for the future of working with children and caring for the families.
