Hello, I am currently a student at Truman College, trying to earn my degree in Elementary Education. Although I have not professionally worked as a babysitter, I am very familiar with taking care of children for two reasons: I am a family caregiver and also a Sunday School teacher. I have been watching over my nieces and nephew for the past 13 years, and the oldest is 13 years old now, and the youngest is 4 years old. I have been teaching our Sunday school program for the past 2 years now to the children, ages from 4 to 10 years old. When I was a little baby, I was taken care by my own cousins who are twins. They were so good with teaching me and feeding me although my own parents were not around because of a divorce. I have always looked up to these two twin girls, Read more and I was inspired by their love for me. I always questioned what kind of love that could be that even though I am not their own, they would still share the love for me. Amazed by this kind of love, I just want to share it with the people around me, especially to the children and the ones who need love and care most. I like to make games up and have fun with the children and I also know how to persuade them to eat their foods. I also enjoy walking and talking to the kids even though what they say doesn’t make sense. Since I give bath to my cousins most of the time, I am experienced with giving bath, changing diaper and potty training. For me, it is very important to see everyone else children as my own and that is my primary reason of serving the Sunday School ministry. I believe that for the world to become a better place, it has to start with one child at a time seeing the love that we can offer. It will be an honor for me to be a part of another family to raise a child for a brighter future. This will also help me develop skills to complete my future goal as a teacher.
