I have over a dozen years of babysitting experience with children of all ages (I am the oldest girl in a family of 30 first cousins) and it was my full-time occupation for ten years. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have been Trustlined, and, obviously, I adore children. Below is some information about my interests and experience. Besides that? I studied English and Theatre in school with a minor in Education. In January 2007, I moved to Chicago from Brooklyn. My favorite things to do with young children include reading books, singing, dancing, running around outside, gardenings, examining Read more bugs, baking together, making up stories and illustrating them, playing tag, riding bikes and pretending to be bats. I also have years of tutoring experience in schools and with Kaplan. I generally get around by bicycle and public transport, as I have a driver's license but no car. Thus, I would prefer a job that did not require driving, although I am flexible if those positions simply don't exist. Historically I have been paid between $15 and $20 an hour, depending on the number of children, hours, and responsibilities. However, finding the right family and situation is more important to me than salary, as I'm sure finding a sitter that fits is your main priority.
