I am a recent college graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison who has worked with children of many ages in both work and volunteer settings over the last five years. This past summer I was a Recreational Group Leader for Madison Schools and Recreation and Lakeview Elementary, supervising a classroom of 15 2nd and 3rd graders. For the two previous summers, I was a full-time summer camp counselor at the Neighborhood House Community Center in Madison. At the Neighborhood House, I supervised and taught 20-30 elementary school age children for over 40 hours a week. During the two previous school years, I was an After School teacher for the Wisconsin Youth Company at Glenn Stephens Elementary for 20-25 hours a week. At both positions, I organized curriculum and supervise elementary school children. Also, I have worked as an after-school tutor at Madison West High School, volunteered as a childcare provider Read more at the Canopy Center, and even taught ESL (English as a Second Language) to Korean students (ages 8-10) in Madison. All these experiences have given me excellent skills towards energetically engaging with children of all ages. I pride myself on being a kid at heart while at the same time maintaining the responsibility and leadership to give children a safe and fun atmosphere to enjoy. I enjoy every opportunity to work with children and to provide them with the same fun-loving and caring mentoring and care that I was provided with as a child.
