I’ve worked with children ranging in ages of 4 months to 16 years of age over the course of 6 years. Children are truly a joy to work with. You learn something new from each child your encounter and I find it absolutely amazing. The first job I had with children was as a summer nutrition aid. I supervised children ages 2-8. My responsibilities included supervising the children, preparing breakfast, lunch and snack;educating the children on health and nutrition while also performing physical and educational activities. This job was a wonderful experience. The other job I had was in a program called Girls in the Game. I was supervising girls aging 6-12. My responsibilities included tutoring and assisting the girls individually or in groups and also taught them about health and hygiene. The best part about the program was that we also taught them sports. Field trips were included and Read more each field trip was to an all girls sports team. The job was empowering and gave me the confidence to continue to work with children. Over the past two years I have worked with 3 families through the Sittercity app and it has truly been an amazing experience! The youngest child I started with was only four months old and I am still apart of their family to this very day!
