Hi! My name is Brittany, and graduated from DePaul University in 2011 with my degree in Elementary Education. I taught preschool for almost 2 years at Chalk Preschool and at FXW. I just moved back to Lakeshore East and could not be happier to be back in the neighborhood!! I have been a chid care provider for 18 years now. It all started when my oldest niece was born when I was 8 years old. I had always played with baby dolls and wanted my own family from a VERY early age, so when she was born, I got to play with my own real baby! My sister-in-law would let me take care of her (while she was in the house, of course) and from there on, I got my first babysitting job when I was 12 years old. I have always been described as a nurturing, caring, and loving person, and this is why I feel child care comes so easy and natural for me. I have babysat for many families. The most kids who I have babysat for were 4 kids under the age of 7 years old. That was a very unique experience, and I'm glad that I was able to care of that many children who were so young, because it really did show me that I have patience, and I'm able to manage multiple children at one time. I have no lifestyle rules that would affect how I care for someone else's children. I adhere to the parents' routine to a "T" and do not like to go against this. I do not have any sitting philosophies except for the children having fun and enjoying their time spent with me. I do not have my own car, so the CTA is my source of transportation.
