Hello! I'm Evelyn and I am 22 years old. I’m from the Twin Cities, MN. Things I like to do in my free time are dancing, making things with yarn and needles, and spending time with my sisters. Things I love besides kids are animals, music and I appreciate anything that has to do with art! I love working with children because it is so awesome to see how they learn, play, and communicate with the world as they grow! I truly believe a single individual can make a difference and I aspire to be the one to make a difference whether it be through teaching, helping, or caregiving. I have the patience to teach children how to be confident in expressing themselves emotionally, physically, and artistically. Gentle parenting is the best way for a child to develop a healthy and trustful relationship with adults. Children are supposed to be Read more respected and treated as equal. I believe adults needs to read/hear out their concerns and be able to talk anything out. I consider myself a pacifist person and will always be friendly and optimistic. When it comes to outings, do I love going on new adventures with my little friends. I enjoy walks, playground time, library stops, museums, target runs. My favorite games to play is house, superhero’s and Barbie, hide and go seek, legos, and Uno. I like doing all fun art projects like jewelry making, knitting, pour painting, DIY. We can practice any sports and music instrument. Dancing is really fun! As for my paid work experience with kids, I have worked for Chicago Public Schools (ages 3-5) through DePaul’s jumpstart program. For almost three years I have Nannied for a single mom of 3, for a month I did a nanny share for a family of two. I have taken care of 2 children of my cousin. Coming from a Latino community I have always been surrounded and cared for kids in my family. I have two younger sisters who I helped raise and I'm an aunty! It’s nothing new but I love meeting many different little personalities and figuring out how to work with them.
