Dear families, my name is Tara Tanya. I am 21 years old and I am from Germany. In January 2022 I came to the USA as an au pair and was lucky enough to gain my first experience in an amazing host family. The time as an au pair gave me many new impressions and I was able to acquire new skills. Through my mother's work as a kindergarten teacher in Germany, I quickly became aware of how much I appreciate working with children. Before coming to the U.S., I worked for a year in a children's residential group. The children I looked after were aged 5-17 years. I also interned in a kindergarten for a year. The children I worked with were between 3 and 6 years old. I‘m very grateful for this time and experience. Caring, but also working on independence, even at a young age I see Read more as essential. This is what I want to promote through my care. Accompanying the children in their everyday life and being part of their development is something I would appreciate. My previous experiences have given me a lot of pleasure, and from feedback from parents, also the children. I would like to deepen my theoretical, but also practical knowledge in this field. Facts about me: I am a very open-minded and positive person. Flexibility and responsibility are big priorities for me. I love to laugh and make other people happy. My current host children are very interested in cultural differences and have already learned a lot about German culture and language.I would be very happy if I can be a part of your children's everyday life and have the opportunity to be there for them, support them, play with them and teach them something.
