My name is Siobhan I am 20 years old and an experienced and caring sitter, with lots of references and a love for kids. I have 8 years of certified experience babysitting children on top of the everyday experience I had growing up with a very big extended family. I am currently the part time nanny of a 17-month-old baby boy, whom I have enjoyed taking care of for over a year now. I have experience, both from a professional and familial perspective, caring for people with disabilities or learning/behavioral differences including autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, etc. I just ended my second year of college, where I am enrolled in a four year program to obtain my Bachelors in the Science of Nursing. After I graduate I plan to go into pediatric nursing because of my love to care for young people. I have two semesters of clinical experience under Read more my belt, one in an advanced care nursing facility and the other on the renal/cardiac surgical floor of the hospital, along with a plethora of nursing courses including fundamental, med surg., pathophysiology, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, and developmental psychology. I am up to date in my basic life support certification (for health care workers), my vaccinations (including this year's flu shot), I have had a TB test within the past year, and I have a titer completed that states I have a sufficient number of antibodies for each disease I am required to be vaccinated for. Along with being able to provide a safe environment for children, I am also a very fun and active person. I played varsity volleyball all four years of high school (couldn't play in college because I wanted to focus on nursing), I am an extremely strong swimmer and I was on a swim and water polo team for several years, I love the outdoors, and I am very creative when it comes to thinking of things to do. I have my own car and a good driving record and I love taking advantage of all the city has to offer. I believe learning should be fun and it is important not just to help kids learn but help them to love learning for themselves that way they can grow into lifelong learners. I hope to hear from you soon. Good luck with your sitter search!
