*Please see my REVIEWS, and also ADDITIONAL REVIEWS listed under my BABYSITTER  profile. ——————— Hi, my name is Lisa, I’m Chicago born, college educated, a nanny, musician, writer, artist, ex-office manager, and a very warm, responsible, energetic & fun woman. I'm middle child from a huge (7 kids) suburban family, and I LOVE children. I was an egg donor for my sister 16 years ago, although I never had any of my own. I get no greater joy than seeing a child's face light up the first time they learn something new. I've been a professional nanny for many kids through Sittercity the last 10 years, as well as babysitting for many friend’s kids, nieces, nephews & siblings over the years. I'm experienced with newborn to teenage kids. I believe I'm the Mary Poppins type, in a good way--I love to sing, dance, teach and do art projects with kids. I Read more cure tantrums with laughter, listening and distraction. I'm on the sensitive side and am especially good with sensitive children. Previously in my life I was office manager at a New York architect firm. I now prefer the company of children and love to see smiling little faces each day. Making children laugh and helping them learn is far more rewarding than the corporate world. My English skills are excellent as well as my grammar. I know a tiny bit of Spanish as well. I have a drivers license, a reliable 2013 Kia Soul & a perfect driving record. I'm First Aid and infant to adult CPR certified. I don't mind light housecleaning, laundry, dog walking, etc. I'm great at organizing and can shop for clothes and food. Great in kitchen, I myself am vegan but can cook anything. EXPERIENCE: Currently working for Sara S, my former nanny family, caring for their new baby boy. Wednesday through Friday job will last till June 2020. From July 2018-June 2019 I picked up 8-year-old girl Joely from school, staying till early evening. From 2014-2017 I nannied baby girl Ada, from 11 months till age 3 1/2. They very sadly moved to Michigan. Mom Sara S left a very sweet review and we keep in touch. From 2009-2014 I nannied a brother-Niko and sister-Katia, who are one year apart. I started with Niko at age 7 months and Katia when she was 2 months. They were such a joy. Their dad Addison M wrote me a wonderful review. From Feb-Sept 2009 I was nannied a beautiful baby girl named Maddy. She was 3 months to 10 months old when I cared for her. Then she went into a nanny share. Mom Katherine left a very nice review.

We used Lisa a few times when our regular babysitter is not available. She is very calm and patient with the kids, my boys love her.

Highly recommend! Lisa is reliable, punctual, very thoughtful and caring. Willing to take our 8-year-old daughter on fun adventures to the beach, park, even outdoor skating in the winter. Always made her nutritious meals and would always bring her a banana when she picked her up from school, in case she was hungry! She was fully engaged with our daughter, always attentive. We loved having Lisa take care of our daughter and still use her on occasion.

Lisa has been a nanny to our 3 yo daughter for the last 2.5 years (2014-2017). She has become a part of our family, and is an amazing caregiver for our child. The trust that we have with Lisa is hard to come by. She is caring, punctual, patient, adventurous and a perfect fit for a baby or toddler. Lisa has had many adventures with our daughter, from weekly visits to the zoo and Wiggleworms to many a park outing and summertime swim adventures. She loves to be active with a child, and expose them to the many great things that the City has to offer. Lisa is great with setting routines w/an infant or toddler to manage sleep schedules, eating, etc. She has handled pick-up for the last year at our daughter's preschool, transitioning to fun activities in the afternoon. And, since our daughter has a dairy allergy, Lisa's attentiveness to a healthy, nutritious lifestyle has made for a worry-free situation. I can't say enough positive things as I couldn't have asked for a better friend/caregiver for my daughter over the last 2+ years. We are moving out of state, but will continue to use Lisa for weekend visits as I can't imagine not having her in my daughter's life!

I highly recommend Lisa, and it's not just because we've been friends for 17 years. She is a unique, warm, thoughtful and caring person, and was our obvious first choice to have help us care for our boy when we had him, and then also our girl (of course) when we had her a year later. Lisa has rolled like a champ with our complex work schedule for 3.5 years now, but she has reached a point where she needs a more full time nanny gig. Whoever decides to hire her will be a fuller family for it. She will forever be a part of ours.

Lisa was my daughter's nanny for several months. She was fantastic. Lisa started working for us for a 3-4 days per week, at approximately 8 hours per day. She quickly made herself a welcome and trusted member of the family. Her cheerful disposition was always welcome, and I always felt that my daughter was in safe and good hands whenever she was with Lisa. I think what I liked most about Lisa was that she utterly committed to taking care of my daughter. She brought her places, sang to her, laughed with her, played with her -- she absolutely engaged with and bonded with my daughter. In addition, when my daughter was napping Lisa proved to be very helpful around the house, effortlessly and quietly taking care of certain chores. I'm incredibly glad Lisa was able to take care of our daughter, who immensely benefited from the experience. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone as warm and caring for your child.

Lisa confirmed that she would be at my place for her 1PM interview the day before the interview was to take place. However, 5 minutes before she was to arrive, she sent an email stating that she didn't know if she was supposed to come, plus, she "was recuperating" from babysitting the night before.

Lisa was great. She was able to help us last minute with our 20 month old daughter when our nanny called in sick. She came the same day for an interview and helped us 3 days this week. She brought a color photocopy of her drivers license on request. She was even early despite a major snowstorm and my daughter liked her very quickly. She got down on the floor with her and kept her engaged even when I was home. I would definitely call Lisa to watch our daughter again.

I don't think I've ever heard my son giggle so much! Lisa was able to come in for a last minute mother's helper day for me, entertaining my 12 month old son while I got work done around the house. She arrived promptly and lost no time in captivating my son. The two of them had a grand ol' time and I know my son would love to see her back again. Thanks so much, Lisa!

Lisa is great with our kids. They look forward to seeing her because she's so cheerful and fun for them to be with. She engages them in creative play and truly cares about them. We wish she lived closer to us; we'd hire her full-time. We totally trust her judgment and honesty, and the kids (age 1, 4, and 6) love her.
