Amy’s Bio

Hi my name is Amy, a nanny with 10-plus years of experience and a new mom. I am seeking a Full-Time position that will allow me to bring my daughter (born June 29, 2017) with me. I have worked the past ten years in the Roscoe Village & Lincoln Square neighborhoods & have strong ties to Watters Elementary School. I have a degree in Elementary Education and utilize this on a daily basis with the children I care for. I create age-appropriate curriculum & activities & have experience working with children of varying ages, from newborns to middle school-aged children. I am a punctual and organized person, and provide parents with day-to-day agendas including but not limited to field trips, art projects (to enhance fine motor skills), engaging in fun and creative play and I encourage reading & phonics daily. I prepare nutritious meals & snacks and develop age appropriate activities. I transport children to their extracurricular activities and do have my own vehicle (I can transport one additional child). I have a clean driving record, and am punctual and a self-starter. I also have a large network of nannies that I work with to organize group activity outings with other children, encouraging socialization and demonstrating appropriate behavior and manners. Unfortunately the family I have worked for since January 2014 is relocating out-of-state. Ideally I’d like to start at the beginning of October, however start date is negotiable. Strong references are available upon request.

Wonderful nanny!

We've been very fortunate to have Amy in our lives as our full-time nanny. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She's just wonderful with children. She takes her job very seriously and always puts the children and their needs first. She's very responsible, organized, punctual and outgoing. She has boundless energy and has always been very proactive about finding activities for my kids, who range in age from a toddler to a tween. She has
played with them, comforted them, taught them, helped them with homework, taken them to their activities, helped around the house - and all with a smile on her face. She's made them all feel very special, loved and supported and they adore her.

Amy's helped my household and family run smoothly and I'm very sad to let her go but our needs have changed as our youngest is starting pre-school.
I want nothing more than for her to find a great family.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at or call me at 312.927.2405.
