Lurie Children's Hospital as an Audiology Clinical Assistant. I also am have my Developmental Therapy credential through Illinois Early Intervention. I completed an internship this past school year at UI Health in their NICU as a Developmental Specialist Intern. I currently volunteer under a Child Life Specialist at Almost Home Kids, and actively volunteer at Gilda's Club Chicago and Chicago Children's Museum. I completed a 150 hour Child Life Practicum at Lurie Children's Hospital in spring of 2014. My career goals are to become a Child Life Specialist (specifically in a neonatal setting). I was a NICU baby cuddler at UIC hospital for four years during college and a volunteer with various ages on various units at Lurie Children's Hospital for 18 months. Read more I have worked with almost every age range of children and all medical conditions. I currently reside in River North. I am infant/adult CPR and first aid certified. I have a severe cat allergy, so if you have cats I unfortunately don't think we would be a great match! :( Please contact me back with any other questions at c.abate@erikson.edu. Look forward to hearing back from you.
