Hi! My name is Jordan and I am 22 years old. Let me tell you a bit about myself. When I was in high school, I was part of a Fox Valley Career Center Early Childhood program. I was able to take time out of my day to get hands on experience with children in the preschool that was in my high school. We made lesson plans for the children and then got to take over and teach them and learn the do’s and dont’s of child care. After completing this course, I earned an Early Childhood Credentials Course Certificate. After I graduated high school I was taking classes at a community college to become a preschool teacher. Although a I never got a degree, I have knowledge from all of those classes I completed. I have always loved caring for children and having fun with them. I have experience Read more with children of all different age groups. One family I cared for had two children aged 6 and 4 years old. Another family I cared for had a daughter who was just 8 weeks old when I stared with her. They no longer needed me when her mom decided she wanted to stay at home full time with her when she was 15 months old. I love doing educational activities with children, even with the really young little ones! I currently work as an assistant preschool teacher in Algonquin. While this job has been a great learning experience, I have decided I love being a nanny and want to continue down that path.
