My first job was teaching kids, ages three to twelve, how to swim. I taught children how to swim for six years. In the past, I have babysat my cousins and family friends since they were infants. During my college career, I was a volunteer at the Crisis Nursery within Children's Home + Aid, located in Bloomington, IL. Shortly after, I was hired by Children's Home + Aid and worked as a Child Care Worker in the Crisis Nursery. In the nursery, I provided attentive supervision and care for children, ages 0 to 6 years, provided for the basic needs of children including diapering, feeding, and bathing, and worked with families in crisis to provide resources and reduce stress. In the 2014-2015 school year, I was an Adoption Specialist Intern at The Center for Youth and Family Solutions, located in Bloomington, IL. I graduated from Illinois State University in May Read more 2015, with a bachelor's degree in Social Work. Upon graduation, I was hired as a Foster Care Case Manager with Children's Home + Aid in Chicago, IL. Currently, I am a teacher's assistant at Chesterbrook Academy and have been so since September 2015. While I love my current job, I am looking for a full-time nannying/babysitting job. I prefer working with children on a more personal level, as well as with the caregiver(s). I am certified in CPR and first aid. References, background check, etc. can be provided upon request.
