Hello! I'm Syd, I'm 20 years old, and I'm taking a year off college! I plan on teaching abroad after I graduate and love getting to work with kids! I'm down to help around the house and cook, as well as help take care of animals and with any gardening! I'm currently living in Grand Canyon Village, Arizona until the 23rd of June! I'm fun-loving but responsible! I can be a bit shy and quiet at first but warm up fast once I get comfortable! My friends always tease me because I can switch from the baby sibling friend to the mom friend on a dime. I love telling stories and jokes and learning more about the people around me! I'm pretty into video games but not as much as I was when I was younger. I used to rollerblade and I've been wanting to get back into it! I enjoy hiking, swimming, and other outdoor activities. I love art, both doing crafts and going to museums. I'm a humongous hockey fan (go knights!) and played soccer as a kid! I'm kinda just down to do anything! I'm majoring in Early Childhood Education, but intend to change my major to Anthropology when I return to school. I enjoy childcare and the change of major is to still become an English teacher abroad, but have options when I wish to settle down. I am taking a gap year this upcoming school year and maybe the next, but I am very motivated to return to my studies! Covid has been a very hard time to be a student, and I think I have earned a little break from learning haha! I have experience with babysitting and watching cousins/nieces, but would love to further develop my skills. I've taken several childcare-related classes and would love to put my knowledge to work!
