I am a trustworthy, responsible person who loves caring for and playing with children. Working with children has been a growing interest that began at an early age. My very first job was babysitting when I was in middle school. I gained contact with families who kept me as their primary babysitter from middle school through college. I became involved in the lives of their babies that eventually grew up to play in sporting games and piano recitals at which I cheered them on. As I watched the children of these families grow physically and developmentally, a passion of service grew in me to children and families. This passion led me to pursue a career in education where I can encourage children to learn and grow in their imagination and enthusiasm. I am a certified teacher for children grades Kindergarten through 9th grade, and am currently teaching middle school. I Read more work with kids all day and I know the challenges of working with youth. I find joy in building relationships with my students and gaining their trust and respect through my leadership. Past summers I have worked with children in summer children's theater, coaching tennis lessons, and counseling at a summer camp. I am confident in the safety I can provide for children with my certifications in CPR and First Aid. I love watching the creative minds of children flourish through play and interaction. My husband and I enjoy children and hope to be parents someday. I believe it is important to have a positive impact on children by mixing learning and fun into everyday activities, helping them to discover their individualities and uniquenesses.
