Hi! My name is Ally Cummings. I am 25 years old and I am from Downers Grove, IL. I currently live in Chicago. I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2020 and I have been working as a Kindergarten teacher in Woodridge, IL since August 2020 and this fall I will begin my fourth year teaching Kindergarten in the LaGrange 102 School District. I am looking to find some fun kiddos to hangout with during the summer. I have lots of experience working with children of all ages and ability levels. I have experience working with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. Last summer, I have nannied for a family with two little girls, a 4 year old and a 1 year old. I took them to the park, played with their water toys, went to swim lessons, went to the library, read books and did lots Read more of art projects. I was responsible for nap time routines as well as lunchtime and preparing snacks. While I currently teach in a elementary school, I have taught a preschool literacy program, so I have an understanding of many age groups. Working in a school setting has helped me gain a lot of experience working with children both academically and behaviorally. I love working with children and I am excited for the possibility of continue to work with children in the summer! While I do have plenty of experience working with children in a classroom setting, I have lots of background outside of a school. As the oldest of four siblings I have spent many hours and days watching over my siblings and entertaining them. I have previously worked as a babysitter for many families in my neighborhood, a swim lesson instructor and last year I was a full-time camp counselor at the Downers Grove YMCA. As a camp counselor I was responsible for supervising children during field trips, administering medicine and of course making sure the children were having fun and were entertained! I am CPR/First Aid certified. I have my own car and I am COVID vaccinated. I am excited for a summer of fun and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions at all!
