Hello!! I understand that hiring a reliable nanny for your family is central to finding stability and comfort to everyone in the household. I will take the time to personalize caregiving to your family's needs and provide compassionate, attentive service. I recognize the importance of open communication, inclusivity, emphasizing and demonstrating empathy to others, and providing learning experiences through creative opportunities. My career in social work has allowed me to work with children in various settings, and at several stages of life. Currently, I work full-time at in a medical setting, offering mental health services and community resources, including crisis intervention to patients who patients who are aged 4 and up, along with pregnant parents. Prior to moving to Chicago/Evanston, I was a nanny for 6+ years to a family of twins (who I consider family members now) that I was with since birth. Initially, I was planning to move Read more when the twins started kindergarten, but put my life on 'pause' in response to the pandemic and stayed longer with the family to provide e-learning support for them and to continue providing childcare as well. I ultimately became their live-in nanny. Eventually, with a heavy heart at the thought of leaving though we all knew the plan, I moved to Chicago to be able to live full-time with my wife, our dog and our two cats! I have 3 adult children (all girls), my youngest graduated from college recently. In the past, I have worked at a non-profit residential agency in Indianapolis, which provided supportive services to teenagers girls who were pregnant and/or parenting. I have also worked in a intermediate school (4th & 5th graders) in providing computer lab support and 1:1/small group tutoring needs. I love my place of employment and would want to continue, but also look forward to nannying for a new family on a part-time basis. I am available through the week on Mondays and Fridays, along with weekends. Additionally, I am willing to work non-traditional hours, such as overnights or weekends. I am CPR/First Aid certified, I have extensive background checks ran for work, and I am fully vaccinated (COVID and all other vaccines/recent titers to ensure compliance) and boosted.
