I must start by saying I have a very calm and relaxed personality. I am rather honest, patient, fun loving, understanding, hardworking and disciplined young lady. I am willing to listen to understand instead of listening only to respond when communicating with others whether it be a child or an adult. I don’t get frustrated easily and I am always willing to challenge myself so I can get better at whatever task I have to complete in my life. I am good at decision making and I am very good at mentoring as it relates to both adults and children. I can be very goofy and I have a huge sense of humor which is a characteristic of mine that I think attracts kids most of the time. What I love the most about kids is the spark and joy that they bring to me when I am around them. Read more It warms my heart when a young kid looks up to me or value my companionship. Nothing feels better to me than having a kid around because they never cease to amaze me with the things they do, they are like mini comedians with the things they come up with. The little laugher on their faces for silly stuffs are the little things I admire. I love hanging around kids especially the fact that I am fully involved in extra-curricular actives so it’s amazing for me each time I am outdoors with a kid who wants to have fun or learn new things. I am interested in working with a wonderful fulltime family that I can have a good relationship with while I take care of their kid(s). A family that will have my voice perceived by both parents and children. A family that will understand my perspective and experience be thoughtfully heard when trying to solve problems. I have extensive experience with new born to 5 years old . I took care of 2 kids for a little over 5 years. I worked as a full time nanny while still enrolled in college because they lived close by. I started out with one kid when she was almost 2 years old and my boss eventually had another one. I took great care of the eldest throughout her entire pregnancy and I helped with the newborn as well. They were lovely kids and very easy to deal with as well as the parents. I am very responsible and caring and I thought those kids a lot. My main responsibilities included: diaper change, bottle prep and feeding, burping nap time, tummy time, soothing and comforting, meal prep, structured sleep and meal schedule and developmentally appropriate activities. Other responsibilities included cooking for kids and occasionally for the family, assist with homework, tutor and run small errands. As the eldest child got older whenever the weather was nice we would go for walks around the park or neighborhood . TI want to work with a family that will be able to trust and rely on me to determine a solution or work with me as a team to solve the problem. Lastly, I would love to work with a supportive family.
