Currently a full-time music therapist looking for part-time work in the evenings after 5pm. In the past, I've been a live-in nanny and babysitter for families in the Evanston area. I have degrees in music therapy and psychology, so I am familiar with children's developmental growth. I believe in interacting with children on their unique level and having fun while building pre-academic and school-age skills with music activities. I play guitar, piano, and ukulele and enjoy introducing these and other instruments to children to develop their musical identity. While working, I look for ways to creatively engage and nurture children by being responsive and supportive of their personalities and interests. I have worked with special needs populations and bring the patience and compassion from these experiences into my childcare philosophy.
