My name is Heather and I am an experienced caregiver. I enjoy coming up with fun games and activities to do with the children I care for. I especially like finding educational activities to do with children of all ages and needs. My hobbies include arts & crafts, dancing, biking, and playing board games. My most recent experience was nannying for 3 children who were 6 months, 18 months, and 4 years old when I started with them. During my time with that family I helped the baby learn to crawl, walk, self-feed, and say a few words. I helped the toddler with potty training, using feeding utensils, developing his vocabulary, and learning animals and colors. When the preschooler was home for few days per week, we played together, sang songs, and read books. Overall, I created a daily routine with the family that made the day run smoothly and Read more created a reliable environment for the kids to grow and learn in. We also enjoyed going on outings to the museums and parks. In addition, I did laundry, light cleaning, meals, and daily care (like bathing/diapering). My other experience includes being a full time nanny for a toddler turned preschooler for 3 years prior to attending college. During college, I majored in elementary education, while babysitting for a few families regularly, the ages of the children ranged from newborn to 13 years old. Activities included meal preparation, bedtime routines, entertaining, and tutoring. After college, I taught 3rd grade for 1 year and decided I prefer nannying. Currently, I am looking forward to finding a new family to care for and love.
