Hello! My name is Callista (Callie), and I’m looking to join a family as a nanny beginning September 2023 or later. I'm 22 years old and from a town just outside of Chicago. I currently attend school at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a Bachelor of Art. My experience in childcare started at age 14, when I began babysitting for my neighbors down the street. Since then, I've continued working as a part-time sitter. Throughout high school and into college, I also worked as a lifeguard, swim-lesson instructor, and youth group/ camp leader. My experience in childcare ranges, from looking after infants to children aged 13-years. My interest in nannying full-time began after providing full-time childcare during my 2021 summer break, from May through August. At this time, I typically spent 6 days per week (over 40 hours) with a family of 4, looking after their 2 sons Read more aged 6 and 8. This felt like an eye-opening experience for me, allowing insight into the fulfillment that comes with caring for children. It showed me how important an influence we can have on their growing minds, as well as how much influence they can have on our own perspective. Although it was only a few months that I worked with this specific family, the relationship we formed is special to me and one I plan to maintain for years forward.
