Hello, my name is Stephanie! I am an 22 year old graduate from Columbia College Chicago. I am taking a break from my career and am back in child care for the moment. I have worked for the Huntley Park District as a Extended Time and Summer Camp counselor for about six years now. I love working with children. I am CPR certified. The park district has provided me with training in working with children. While working at the park district, I plan daily activities such as, crafts and games, I ensure the safety of the children as I watch them play, watch over them as they swim at Sting Ray Bay during the summer, and help them with whatever they need. During the school year, I help them with any kind of homework they have as well. I also used to be a dancer. I was leader at my Read more studio and was employed there. My studio was one of the only to offer physical therapy classes for special needs children. My experience at my studio gave me the opportunity to work with the PT classes. I think it is wonderful to be a part of a child's life and to be a positive influence. Not only do I believe that I can influence a child, but I believe that children influence me. My kids at the park district always manage to put a smile on my face and are incredibly rewarding to be around.
