I am a recent graduate from North Park University in Chicago, IL. I intend to pursue a masters degree in Special Education in the future. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I have been babysitting since I turned 12. Starting at such a young age I babysat my newborn niece and it was my responsibility to watch her every day. Within the next year I started watching more and more kids in my neighborhood and evolved into the neighborhood nanny. The past 4 summers I have watched a few families consistently and have been responsible for much more. My responsibilities include: picking up the kids from summer school, taking them to the pool and other activities and feeding them lunch and dinner. Another family that I was a nanny for had a strict schedule for her ice-skating. They had me mainly driving around all day from Read more trainer to trainer. I have worked with many family styles ranging from strict to really easy going and a lot of kids to only child. I have learned that I can handle almost any situation that presents itself. In the more recent years, I started working with special needs kids. Working with kids is something that I am passionate about and can picture myself doing for the rest of my life.
