My name is Mackenzie Starnes and I moved to Illinois 8 months ago after having my first baby boy. I am energetic, responsible, organized and caring. As a new mother, I know the fear parents have leaving their pride and joys in the care of another while they work to provide for their children. I am lucky enough to have a fiancé who works endless hours to provide for my family so I can stay home and care four our son. I've looked into multiple daycares while thinking about going back to work in my area of study, Human Resources. While some daycares have been very professional, my fiancé and I want to know he is in the best care at all times. This has lead me to apply to be a nanny for a loving family. I am from Brownsburg, Indiana and I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy in November of 2015. I am one of six children and come from a very loving family. In May of 2014 I graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resources Development. Prior to having my baby I worked in the Human Resource field for 2 years. While perusing my degree I worked for an organization called Sycamore Readers in Terre Haute, IN. This organization provided elementary students one-on-one tutoring sessions for reading development. I connected with each child and made sure I was meeting their needs/interests to keep them in the best state of mind to develop confidence in themselves to become a better reader . I also developed a relationship with their parents and made sure I was keeping them updated on their progress. One mother I still keep in contact with to this day. While in high school I was a summer nanny for two boys and I also babysat for people in the community as needed. I have a passion to care for others and being a new mother, I understand the importance of trusting someone with your children. My goal as your nanny is to make sure your children receive the very best care. I would be willing to get any certification you want in a nanny and sign off on any background checks you may want to run. I love to do activities (both fun and educational). I have a membership to the Brookfield Zoo if that is something your child/ children would like to do. I love to cook for my family. I make my own baby food for my 8th month old and would love to do any meal prep or housework you'd like.
