Hi families, I was born and raised in Peoria. I have over 20 years of childcare experience, and I have been a full time nanny and household manager for the last 15+ years. I have worked all over the country for several families - caring for children ages ranging from newborn up to 13 years. Now that I have a daughter of my own, my husband and I have relocated to raise her where we grew up. Since she was born, I have taken her to my nanny jobs with me. All of them have been great fit for both families and socially & developmentally beneficial for the kids. L is 4, and I would love to find another family with a child around the same age. However, I am open to all ages. When she isn’t in preschool part-time, we love going on adventures. We have memberships to the zoo, playhouse, Wildlife Prairie Park, and country club. We love going to tumbling open gym, story time, and parks. We go for nature walks and play outside as much as we can when the weather allows for it. Hello, How are you doing? My name is Eliana, I am 22 years old, with years of experience working with kids. I am artistic, creative, and patient, both in my personal and professional life. I have a big heart for kids no matter their family situation or their emotional and or mental disposition. One of my biggest values is creating a safe place for kids to learn and flourish healthy. I try and have a wholistic approach when working with kids. For example, if a kid throws an object, instead of punishing them I would first observe the situation, seeing where the kid's emotion is. Looking for body queues (clenched fist, frown, tears, etc.). Next, I will say what the boundary is, do some calming exercises (deep breaths), and then ask some questions to understand the why. Kids generally have low emotional tolerance and need to be taught how to cope and problem solve in healthy ways. I also try and encourage curiosity of the the world around them, especially nature.

I am a full time college student, but I have over four years of experience with kids as a summer camp and after school director. I have five younger siblings and I also tutor part time! I would love to help your family with any needs you may have. I look forward to working with you!
