I have been working with children since 2019. I attended NIU for Art and Design education with the goal of becoming an art educator. Due to COVID affecting education systems and schooling, in 2020-2021 I was working with the YMCA in helping to direct children ages 3-8 on how to navigate learning through their newfound ZOOM classes, keeping them on schedule, helping with lunches and free-time. From there I took some time to live abroad in Scotland which helped in expanding my knowledge on cultures and really expanding my understanding of people. In 2022 I began working as an assistant teacher for ages 1-2 and have been here for over a year now and I am so incredibly thankful for the families I have met and the children I have been able to have a positive impact on as they truly have changed my life for the better as well Read more and am looking to continue building my relationship with families!
