Hello, my name is Beth Ann and I am from Minnesota. I grew up on a small diversified farm and especially enjoyed raising dairy and meat goats. In third grade I joined 4-H and started my journey competing with our goats and several other projects. Throughout the years I learned responsibility, problem solving, leadership, and communication skills. An experience that influenced me the most was developing sewing workshops to teach children ages 5 to 13 how to sew a heart shaped pillow. I realized how valuable and rewarding it is to teach children in a positive learning environment. Next, I attended Dakota Technical College and earned a two-year degree in Early Childhood and Youth Development. The most significant section was actively participating in child care centers and experiencing how children’s social and emotional health affects their overall development and learning throughout their life. Since 2019, I have worked directly with Read more children ages 18 months to 12 years old in child day care settings. I am currently working as a lead teacher for toddlers and preparing meals according to nutritional guidelines. This summer I am relocating to Illinois and look forward to continuing my journey building positive relationships with children. I appreciate you taking the time to read my bio.
