My name is Vanessa Solis, I have been doing caregiving for a while now. I fell in love with this kind of position. I originally wanted to go into nursing right after high school, but things didn’t go as planned. I then found something a bit similar and that was caring for the elderly. Until this day I have such a strong passion for it. Caregiving will always be a part of me & who I am. I know it isn’t really the same as caring for kids, but I feel that the concept of it still remains the same, that is, caring for others making sure that they feel safe and protected, and always making sure that their needs come before mine, is what makes this job so much more rewarding.
