Hello! I always find it a bit awkward to type introductions about yourself online, but here goes! I have around 10 years of experience caring for kids, although to be perfectly honest, up until I was 18 my experience was limited to watching my friends' siblings with them, or my boyfriend (who is now my husband)'s younger sister, or walking some of the younger kids to their after school activities when I was in grammar school. I am CPR certified, I speak Spanish, French and I am currently learning Italian. I have a lot of experience with kids with special needs and infant & child first aid due to my amazing son, Tyler, who recently started kindergarten. I have been his primary caretaker for the past 5 years (with the exception of the half days last year in which he attended pre k). I have learned patience with children of Read more all developmental stages and abilities, how to keep active kids occupied, positive discipline (mostly with reward systems and positive praise), and I also try to keep everything educational (but sometimes kids just need to run around and have some fun)! I also love to help with homework, I have loved school and learning my whole life so I try to transfer that enthusiasm towards learning on to my kids as well as whomever I may be helping at the time. I am also comfortable with any and all pets you might have in your home.
