I want families to know that I have a wide range of interests, and all I want to do is share them. I love adventure, which includes, but is not limited to, nature walks, hiking, rock climbing, and camping. During my childhood, I played various sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, field hockey, and softball. Although I enjoy outdoor activities, I also like indoor pursuits such as drawing, reading, puzzles, and baking. One of my special skills is finding ways to ensure that everyone, regardless of their age, enjoys the activity we are doing. I have extensive experience in babysitting children of all ages and believe it is crucial to ensure that everyone feels involved and included. I have FIRST AID/CPR/AED, Water Safety. and Advanced Childcare Certifications from the Red Cross. One of my strengths is anticipating others’ needs. Another strength of mine is organization and punctuality. I do not like to be late, fortunately, or unfortunately being late causes me anxiety so I will never be late unless it is out of my hands (car accident, sickness, emergency). Organization comes naturally to me. When I was younger I would go to my cousin’s house and organize their play room. Organizing calms me and I believe a clean room equals a clear mind. I would describe my personality as introverted, yet full of adventure, laughter, conversation, creativity, and a bit of silliness. Depending on the time of day, I can be quiet, but I'm usually up for anything. I love playing games; I can be competitive, but I'm also relaxed and uninterested at times (depending on the activity). In the spring, summer, and fall, I want to be outside as much as possible, while wintertime is all about finding creative ways to spend time indoors. For example, I love creating pillow and blanket forts, which I know kids love playing in. My personality helps me in my role as a nanny, as I'm empathetic and strong-willed, and I aim to teach these qualities to the kids I look after. One of my favorite activities to do with the children is playing a board or card game.
