I raised my own son and I occasionally watch my 4 and 6 year old grandsons. In the past year and a half I have watched a 2.5 year old boy, an infant girl from age 3 to 6 months, a baby boy from 7 to 10 months, and an 8 year old girl. I completed a pediatric first aid and CPR class in November 2023. When I am watching children I do not use my cell phone (other than in case of emergency or if I need to schedule an appointment) as I want to give the kids my undivided attention. I especially enjoy reading to children, doing art projects together, and taking nature walks. I am very energetic, and on days when I am not babysitting, I typically take 4 - 5 mile walks along the lake. I am very happy to provide professional and personal references. I have other references from Illinois as well. My son used to go to work with me and I was lucky to find families who were kind enough to allow that. Now he is in school all day so its not longer a neccesity but I still would like to find families who wouldnt mind if i needed to for all the random days off of school, however I know it's not for everyone so I would understand and have care for him. I've cared for all ages from 6 weeks old to 14 years. I've also worked in a daycare in the infant room and toddler room. Helping to care for 12-20 kids at once. I enjoy doing crafts with the kids and going outside. I have my own reliable car and am non smoking. I also enjoy taking care of pets so if you have any that's not a problem.
