Hi, my name is Amanda. I'm a very creative and artistic person, I enjoy drawing and creating with clay and ceramics. I love to share this with my students by doing many art projects in my classrooms. I attended SIUE and earned my degree in Early Childhood education. I have been working with children since my first year of college, first in a childcare center working with infants part time for two years. I then worked as a lead toddler teacher for about a year, before leaving to complete my bachelors degree. In my teaching program I had the opportunity to student teach in both preschool and second grade classrooms. Now I am looking to transition to a position where I can work with smaller groups of children or one-on-one and develop more personal connections with children and families.
