Hi, My name is Crystal! I am a college graduate from Northern Illinois University. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Studies with an emphasis in Child Development. I am also CPR/AED/FIRST AID certified. I have much experience as a caregiver and in the child development field. I come from a big extended family and I have a large numbers of cousins. I started off as a caregiver for family members and friends as a teenager. I can recall the numerous times when I would walk into a grocery store and children would be drawn to me and smile at me from ear to ear. During those years, that's when I discovered in my heart that I had a passion and calling to work with children and families. During my undergraduate studies, I completed a vigorous practicum at the on campus Child Development Lab. In my Read more practicum was where I gained extensive hands on experience as a professional in my field. I also have also worked for two families post graduation. I've worked with children with disorders such as Autism & ADHD. I love my job as a caregiver because it gives me the opportunity to make a difference in children and families lives. I can apply my education and skills to promote physical, emotional, social, language and cognitive growth within the child and watching them flourish. I believe what makes me good at being a nanny is the fact that, I naturally enjoy being around children. I take the time that I spend with the families that I work with very seriously. I continue to expand my knowledge in the field. I am constantly challenging myself as a child development professional to be the best that I can be. I am prepared to relocate to the Southern California area very soon. I am seeking to work for a family in that area because that's where I plan/want to be. I prefer a live-in nanny position. I am enthusiastic about being a long-term nanny.
