Marta Kowalski (847) 877-9064 Schaumburg, February , 2024 To whom it may concern, My name is Marta and I am seeking a new opportunity to apply over 24 years of experience in working with children. Teaching has been a passion of mine as I have seen first-hand how children can learn through play. Whenever I work with children, my goal is to create an engaging environment coupled with new experiences to expand their mind. In the role of a teacher, my experience has taken me through various class room settings, both English and Polish speaking. Most recently my experience as a preschool teacher with Children's Home and Aid has allowed me to work with preschool aged children including some with Individual Educational Plans that target social-emotional development delays or speech delays. As a care-taker, I have gone beyond the classroom to work with children of varying ages and developmental needs, Read more whether caring for a single child or even up to four siblings at a time. In the past few years I have begun assisting in the care of children on the autistic spectrum and their unique needs. Through working with Clearbrook Care, I have built my understanding of how best to support children regardless of how their autism manifests, whether they be high/low-functioning or non-verbal. Besides my experience, I also utilize my strong organizational and time-management skills to prepare for the children I work with and adapt to their surprises. Being part of classrooms over time meant I was always working with other people and I also consider myself a team player. I have found I work best when I have a mutual understanding with the parents or co-teachers of what the goals for a child may be. This allows for creating a nurturing environment that also addresses poor behavior that a child must be taught cannot continue. This is only a brief overview of the wide range of skills and experiences I would be able to apply to the next opportunity.
