Hello! - I have 15 years of experience working with children of all ages. However I suppose I "specialize" in newborns to age 7. -I have lots of experience working with multiple children at one time, even multiple families at one time and I truly love what I do. I believe it is important to not only develop a strong connection with the child, but their parents as well. -I have completed course work in Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology -With the children, I love to play outdoors, go to parks, sing songs,read stories and do lots of arts and crafts. I encourage make-believe play, dressing up in costumes and being silly! -With infants, I am very well versed in changing diapers, toilet training, bath and bedtime routines. I studied early childhood development and child psychology in college, so I am educated on their stages of physical and emotional Read more growth and development. I help with “tummy time”, crawling and walking, feedings(from breast milk and/or formula to solids), administering medication when/if needed and crib to bed, as well as sleep training. -I also would not mind in the slightest if I was asked to do housework. Laundry and dishes,as well as the usual clean up of toys,books and arts and craft projects, are things you can expect. I am also comfortable with animals and do not mind caring for them as well. I also know basic sign language and have found children love to learn....especially if they are also learning how to speak. Also, I have knowledge of basic first aid and CPR. -I understand that as parents, who work(and just parents, generally speaking) things can come up unexpectedly. I always leave room in schedule for flexible hours and emergencies. -I have access to a reliable car and if for whatever reason, my car is unavailable(almost never happens), I have access to other reliable sources of transportation. I pride myself on being punctual. -I would also like to add that I'm available for weekend work, or "date nights" and that I am non-smoker. -I have references, please do not hesitate to ask!
