I have always been the fill in babysitter when a friend or family needs someone. During high school and my first year of college, I was a kindergarten teacher's aide. I was an Early Childhood major before switching schools, but I have completed about 21 hours of child teaching education. After graduating with a Marketing degree, I am considering going to back to finish my Early Childhood major. I am originally a farm girl from a very small town in Central Illinois. I recently moved to Chicago in fall of 2012 after making the best decision to transfer to Columbia College. After graduating, I am figuring out what path I want to go down, so I moved to Springfield, IL I have a wonderful family and amazing friends that get me through everything. Some of my obsessions, otherwise known as hobbies, include baking, Pinterest, reading, taking random photos, and playing Read more with my kitten Draco. Yes, my cat is named after a Harry Potter character. Let’s just say he lives up to his name! I love to stay busy! Between school, work, and my obsessions, I served as the President of Columbia’s Chapter of PRSSA. The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is a organization for students interested in public relations and communications. PRSSA helps with building your network and career. I loved every minute being part of this amazing organization. I am a huge Disney buff. I am always open to having a Disney movie night. If I could live at one of the Disney Parks for the rest of my life, I would be the happiest person alive. One of my favorite quotes is from Walt Disney himself, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” I really try to live my life to the fullest and believe if you can dream it, then there is not reason you cannot do it. As someone who lives the "Disney Way," I want to help children find their happiness and inspire them in anyway possible.
