Hello Sittercity Parents! My name is Maggie and I am so thrilled that you are reading my profile. Currently I am a Graduate student studying Child, Family, and School Psychology at the University of Denver. I am seeking a regular after school nanny/babysitter position for the remainder of the school year and hopefully beyond. Originally from Chicago, I just moved to Denver and am so excited to get to know a new city. Last year I worked in an elementary school as a Special Education Classroom Assistant and spent the year before teaching English in Thailand to 4-8 year olds! It was an incredible experience of culture, education, and beauty! I graduated from DePaul University with my BA in Psychology and French. Through my past experiences and schooling as a Psychology student, I have come to know the importance of proper child care and understand the fragile developmental process of Read more children. Before going to Thailand, I worked as a one-to-one aide for a Kindergarten boy with special needs. As a nanny/babysitter I have experience with 18 months -12 years old. As a summer camp counselor I had an amazing experience working with children with many different types of cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities. As you can tell, I have a myriad of diverse child care experience that has shaped me into an energetic, reliable, empathetic, and patient caregiver. My past responsibilities with nanny positions have included homework help, transportation to/from school and extracurriculars, nap and bedtime routines, meal preparation, laundry and other household tasks, grocery shopping, giving medicine, potty training and perhaps a few other things! I am trained in many conflict resolution and behavior modification techniques, therapeutic holds, CPR AED and First Aid certified, and possess a driver's license with a clean record. A background check and referrals are possible upon request. I enjoy traveling, animals, running, music, cooking, reading, yoga, and being outside as much as possible!
Trust & safety
We encourage parents to conduct their own screenings using the background check tools. See what each of the badges covered, or learn more about keeping your family safe by visiting the Trust & Safety Center.
