I believe that raising a family is the most important thing that any of us can do. I dream of what my life will look like when I have children of my own. However, I am only 23. I have much living and learning to do until then. In the meantime, I feel it is my responsibility as a young woman to assist families in raising their children in the way they have always dreamed. I truly believe that when we have strong families-- however, those may look-- that are able to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of their children, we have a strong society and a brighter future. In terms of how I can support your family, I am happy to cook, clean, and take care of children of all ages. I must be upfront and admit that I do not have experience with children under the Read more age of 3. However, I would absolutely love to learn. In the past, I was an au pair (nanny/language assistant) for a family in Spain with 2 children, ages 3 and 5, for 3 months. I also babysat children between 3 and 5 throughout high school. I have experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor for children between 1 year and 14 years old. I have held a wide array of other odd jobs, ranging from being a personal care assistant for a 20-year-old quadriplegic, to working in the health insurance space, to interning at a qualitative research firm, to bartending and serving. I am currently a senior at Indiana University graduating in December 2021 with degrees in Anthropology and Spanish Linguistics and minors in Geography and Political Science. Outside of class, I like to go on long runs, swing kettlebells, read, study languages (Spanish and Bahasa Indonesian), cook, and spend time with the members of the co-op I currently live in.
