Hi there, My name is Ali (27) and I would love to be considered as a babysitter to your children. I have years of nanny/babysitting experience, and have an 8-year-old, myself. I am graduating from IUSB this coming May with a Bachelor's in General Studies and a minor in The Foundations of Education (I have no more class obligations on campus). I have a lot of classroom experience as well; I had planned on becoming an elementary teacher but after many placements in local schools, I realized the traditional setting wasn't right for me. I have also substitute taught in PHM and Elkhart Schools. I did some student teaching and received great feedback from all of my supervisors and host teachers, but followed my gut to work with children in a different career, which has brought me to nannying! Although I changed paths from becoming a teacher, I love children Read more just as much as I always have! I love being outdoors, taking trips to the zoo, park, and library, playing sports, trying anything and everything off of Pinterest (food, crafts, activities), reading children's books aloud, and much, much more. I am a kid at heart! I am a very responsible and dependable person. I have been told by those that know me best, I often go above and beyond. I also like to tell families I am open to running errands of all sorts, organizing, and cleaning when possible. I generally aim to make your life easier in anyway I can. I drive a kid-friendly Ford Flex and have a clean driving record. One of my best traits is that I’m very good at being extremely kind and fun to children, but I also know when to be stern. Children often feel comfortable with me after a very short amount of time; I think that has a lot to do with my maternal role and my extensive experience in classrooms.
