My name is Emma Carpenter and I am an Elementary Education major at the University of Southern Indiana. I am 20 years old and currently trying to expand my history with children to better suit myself as i go through school and work towards being a teacher. I have three siblings. One brother that is 17, a sister that is 15, and a second brother that is 8. Throughout high school I have worked closely within my community and school. I was a cheerleader and involved in FFA. FFA is a national origination which allows middle school and high school students to grow as a person, do a great amount of volunteer work in the school and also with the community. I have worked very closely with children of all ages and also mentally and physically handicapped adults. While cheering, I worked closely with elementary school students from kindergarten up Read more to fifth grade. We would host cheer clinics and work with the children all day and then allow them to cheer with us at a basketball game or football game. Additionally, I have babysat throughout the years for family friends. I have always enjoyed working with children and I would like to be able to continue doing so.
