My name is Carmen U. I'm 21 years old (I'll be 22 in October) and I'm from Ferdinand, IN. I'm currently pursuing an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have one semester/4 classes left until I graduate. I have 7 siblings, 4 older and 3 younger than myself. Coming from a big and loving family I have learned much responsibility and acquired great experience through babysitting for them. I have enjoyed taking care of my younger siblings and love future opportunities to connect and work with other young children as well. I am very involved in my church and the activities they have for children. I have volunteered every year in the Vacation Bible School Summer Program, leading young children in groups of 15+, since I was in the 6th grade. I'm a nanny for twins (3 years old) and a 6 year old. I have been caring for Read more these children for 1 year and 7 months now. These wonderful children have allowed me to experience many immeasurable memories with them. From trips to the zoo and learning about all the animals, to learning and singing the alphabet together, to potty-training days, to learning how to be patient and kind. . . these are just a handful of examples of what it's been like caring for young children! On a daily basis, we of course learn from each other in language skills, social-emotional skills, and gross and fine motor skills, and in cognitive skills as well. I also believe that it is also important that children learn self-help and safety skills. I am CPR and First Aid Certified, and will renew my certifications as needed. Being a nanny and caring for young children helped me discover my talents, skills, and affirmed my path to be an Early Childhood Teacher/Nanny. I'm getting married mid October, and my husband-to-be and I will be moving to the Georgetown, IN/Louisville, KY area. I'm seeking to find the perfect family/children to nanny for full-time.
